NASHVILLE, TENN -2 July 2013 - Today is the day that GRAMMY®-nominated Relient K releases their seventh LP project, Collapsible Lung (Mono Vs. Stereo), their latest in four years. The highly anticipated album debuts at No. 1 on the iTunes overall album chart, and is also reviewed on USA Today's Listen page, where they also premiered the bonus track, "That's My Jam" featuring Owl City, on its Listen Up page.

USA Today's review shares, "Frontman Matthew Thiessen always a savvy songwriter, has traded the group's animated pop-punk for more contemporary styles. There's a newfound sadness, too, one that sometimes resembles wisdom." To listen to "That's My Jam" on USA Today's Listen page, click here.

Collapsible Lung is now available at iTunes and Amazon, and will be a digital only release with physical and special edition vinyl copies available at Relient K shows this summer. Fans will hear the new, and old, Relient K songs on tour with The Almost and The Rocketboys, as well as on select Vans Warped Tour dates. Dates listed below.

ABOUT RELIENT K
Relient K has been making the real thing since 1997, when Matt Thiessen and Matt Hoopes formed the band in high school. In the 15+ years since, they've released six full-length albums (three are certified Gold), five EPs and a Christmas record. They have toured the globe, and racked up several hit singles, a GRAMMY-nomination, two Dove Awards and performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O' Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live. The Los Angeles Times has praised Relient K for "its smart blend of punk pop and power pop, weaving together influences as diverse as the Beach Boys, Blink-182 and Fountains of Wayne" while Spin noted, "Few bands play punk-influenced modern rock as proficiently." This is Relient K's second studio release on Mono Vs. Stereo, a partnership between Relient K and Gotee Records.

Relient K is a band that writes from personal experiences and this has paid off with over two million records sold, three RIAA Gold-certified albums and a highly dedicated fanbase. As a prolific songwriter, Relient K's frontman, Matt Thiessen, has paved a road with pop hits over the last four years including co-writing Owl City's 2012 summer hit "Good Time," Kelly Clarkson's "Long Shot" and the award-winning "When Can I See You Again" from the animated film Wreck-It Ralph.
